The Most Important Job. Our mission is to educate, encourage, and equip women for the most important job in the entire world – parenting! Through practical, biblically-based teaching on parenting and through supportive interaction in small groups led by experienced mothers, we wish to foster growth not only in our parenting skills but in our wholeness as women – intellectually, relationally, and spiritually.

All Are Welcome. We are women of diverse backgrounds from different communities and churches all over the Wheaton area who have children of all ages. Although we are at various stages of parenting, we share a common desire to grow as women and as mothers. All parents have joys, challenges and frustrations. We come together at Mom to Mom to exchange ideas, strategies, and encouragement.

The Curriculum. Each week we cover a topic with a DVD lecture from Linda Anderson, founder of Mom to Mom. Her background as an educator, speaker, and reading specialist (B.A. literature, Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL and M.A. in Education , University of Texas) lets her address a wide range of issues pertinent to moms in all stages of parenting. Linda is a mother to three happily married children, loves being a grandmother, and has taught in public and Christian schools. A prolific reader and dynamic speaker, she integrates much of her own life and reading into her biblically based writing and teaching. This year, both the morning and evening Mom to Mom sessions will be doing "Growing Together: Growing a Child = Growing a Mom" and the sessions will cover Personal Growth, Partnering Growth and Parenting Growth.

In addition to the DVD presentations, a number of local professionals, community members and church staff participate as guest lecturers. These non-DVD presentations allow Mom to Mom leadership to customize the course of study to fit the needs of the moms. The time includes small group discussions, led by experienced mothers, to discuss the topic and apply it to our own families.
