The Edge
Grades 5 & 6
As kids enter their preteen years, they are caught between the need to move away from “children’s” programs, yet are not yet ready for a middle school ministry experience. FBC Kids on the Edge addresses their specific physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs. All students are encouraged to attend the first 30 minutes of a worship service (9:00 or 10:30) with their parents and then come to class. During these 30 minutes, the remaining students will enjoy casual time as they listen to Christian CDs, chat with friends, participate in games, etc. Once the remainder of the kids come to class (from the worship service), large-group interactive teaching begins. Students will also participate in Small Group Huddles for further discipleship.
